New Hair

I love getting my hair colored. It makes me feel new again. This was just what I needed this week. I love being blond but I feel more natural as a brunet. My cousin, Marcie, did it for me. She works at 56 West salon in Spanish Fork. The number is 801-798-2922, if anyone wants to make an appointment. Thanks Marcie.

My Dad

It was my dad's birthday yesterday. This is a photo we took around Christmas time last year. Our whole family was together for one of the last times for a while.
I decided to make a list of things I love about my dad - they happen to be things he loves too.

My dad loves:

  • working outside
  • family parties
  • Orange cake
  • making Carmel
  • His tractor
  • His grandchildren
  • photography
  • gardening
  • my mom
  • snowmobiling
  • family history
  • going to the cabin
And so much more. He is a great example to his children and we all admire him for what he has taught us. If we ever have a question or need some help we know we can go to him. Love you dad and hope you had a wonderful birthday.

Dress up

Max's Aunt Kari Bought him 2 Halloween outfits. The site she bought them from was vague on sizes so she bought the Tootsie roll in case the lobster didn't fit. Well...The lobster fits now so...We made him ware it for a little while just to humor all of us. I don't think he likes to dress up.
Thanks for the photo Angie.

Saturday Morning

Who doesn't LOVE Saturday morning cartoons? I promise Max isn't always in front of the TV. We turn on Veggie Tails and some space cartoon while we make and eat Saturday breakfast as a family. It is a tradition that I hope we keep.
Here is the latest on Maxwell...He went to the doctor today because if a curiously runny nose and a sore toe. Nothing to worry about and the Doctor said he his healthy. He is not big on teething and wants to chew on everything and anyone. We are trying to train him to fall asleep on his own. Right now he is in tears and I'm blogging to keep my mind off of it. I hope he wares himself out soon.

Angie's Birthday

It was Angie's Birthday this past weekend. She let us have a lot of her time - We went to 17 Again, Had a Pizza Party, Had a big Sunday dinner in her honor, went on a walk...the list goes on.
Angie has always been very supportive - When I went to Italy, she came with us to the airport in case Curtis got too emotional to drive him self home (not the case - but still helpful). Angie always comes over when Curtis is out of town, to spend an evening with me. We usually watch American Idol.
Hope you had a good weekend Angie. We Love you.

Family photos

Curt's sisters took our "spring" family pictures for us. I really love them. And I'm glad Max didn't spit up on his shirt.

I think this one ^ is my favorite. I think Angie had Max's attention.

Thanks Kari and Angie

Happy Birthday Lucy

I swiped this photo from Julies blog. This is my niece Lucy. Today is her birthday, she is two. She lives in Australia so we don't get to celebrate with her but I want her to know that we love her and hope she has a fun day with her family. HAPPY BIRTHDAY

What a day

Max and I have had Quite the day today. We slept in until 9 this morning. Curtis left us for a business trip so we got up to say goodbye. Max had an appointment for his shots this morning so we ran off to Payson for those. Max fell asleep on the way home and took a long nap. When he woke up we needed to go to the store so we headed out the door with everything but the keys.
Yep...locked out. With some work, and our neighbors help, we got back in. We rented High School Musical 3 from red box and plan to have a quiet night.

His first...

This little guy, after months of drooling, has finally cut his first tooth. He doesn't like to show it off so you have to be willing to stick your finger in his mouth to find it. It is his bottom left front tooth. He has been a bit cranky since it came in. I'm sure he just doesn't know how to handle it yet.
Our other first this week is a hair cut. He has had a few really long (4-5") scattered hairs that needed to be tamed. Curtis would not let me cut them so we had Grandma Finch do the honors. She is certified so I guess that's why Curtis allowed her to do it. We gave him a sucker to keep his attention. He mostly just slobbered and drooled it, but he sure liked it.

I Just can't get enough

...of this cute little guy.
He loves to be tossed,
He loves to be with DAD,
And he similes when he sees MOM
Our little man is happy 75% of the time, 20% watching and 5% needy. He only fusses when he is tired, hungry, messy, getting buckled in his seat or when he wants to held.
He is a really easy going baby. He has one of the biggest fan clubs and is passed around often. He has made parenthood easy for us.

Mothers Without borders

I hope you can read this poster. I have one of the most amazing friends ever. This is a fund raiser she has put together. They have packages for every girl/woman/mother - not just for prom. This will be one fun night.
All proceeds go to mothers without boarders, helping children in Africa. If you want to learn more, the event blog is http://theprombomb.blogspot.com/. There is a list of prizes and more about the fund raiser. Please let others know about it - It is such a great cause and such a fun way to support it. It happens to be during the priesthood session so go with your mom, sister or girl friends.

At home

He was being so cute after his nap. I put a sheet over our headboard, tossed some pillows for comfort then started flashing the camera. I'm so glad he humored me.
