Great Grandpa's Garden

Max's Great Grandpa Ryan has a wonderful garden. For Father's Day, Curtis wanted to take max over in his overalls to take some photo's.
We had a lot of fun watching him discover the plants, dirt and rocks.
He did try to eat a few rocks but Curtis ran to his aid.
When the corn gets a little higher, we plan on taking Max back for some more photo's, this time with his great grandpa.
Max also met the horses. He liked them but doesn't quite get what they are.
Our Father's Day started out on the down side. We all woke up with sore throats. Curtis and Max stayed home from church to recoup. I had to teach my primary lesson. When I got home the boys were all ready to go. We went to my parents to wish my dad and bother (Tyler) a happy Father's Day. We couldn't stay long because we had a BBQ in Payson. Max tried his first Hamburger (more photo's to come). We all exchanged Father's Day gifts, then went to take the pictures. When we finished we drove back to my parents house to spend some time with them. It was a great day. Curtis, we love you and hope you had a wonderful Father's Day!

Cake

Max had his first opportunity to eat his own peace of cake.
He Loved it!
Then made a mess of what was left.

2 years

Yesterday was our 2 year anniversary. We found a great deal at the mountainside resort in Park City. Curtis picked me up from work, (Max stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Stevens). We got the Master Villa ($89 ~ Great Deal) it included; a washer/ dryer, kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and a patio. They have 6 hot tubs and a heated pool. It was so nice!
They offered a lot of activities including a ginormous Chess set. We ate dinner near the resort and went to Albertson's to get some breakfast food to cook in our kitchen.
We did go for a dip in the hot tub. Our room had 2 TV's, one in the living room and the other in the bed room. On our anniversary, Curtis watched Batman 2 in the living room and I watched Conan in the bedroom. Funny how things Change from the honeymoon to the anniversary.

We shopped the outlets in the morning. We bought Max new PJ's and I got a new wallet and some soap. We decided to find a place to to eat on our way home. It was this cute little spot off of the side of the road. They had a great BBQ place with great scenery.
On our way out of town Curtis spotted a Moose on the loose. He found a place to pull over and we took a few pictures.
We had a great trip and we are so happy to be back with Max. Next year is going to have a hard time topping this one.

Winner Winner

Today was the Springville baby contest. We were on and off about participating. Max and I took a fall on Sunday (road rash) but he healed quickly. His face was back to beautiful by Friday so we decided to go. Springville rules state babies must be in plain white onezies or a white t-shirt -NO COSTUMES. At first we thought that was a bad rule - but really it leveled the playing field.
Max's age group was 8-10 months. About 25 other boy babies were in our group. I'm not sure what they judged us on but they had to re-do the process. Most babies were restless after the first go around. When they announced the re-do I was sure the babies with spiky moosed hair crawling around the floor flashing smiles had won us out. I figured the winner would be a judges neighbor, friend or widely known in Springville (a name carries a lot here). We knew that in advance so we were solely participating to support the community.
The host stared announcing by third place. He said "Max Stevens". I was shocked! I know he is cute, but I so was everyother baby there. I am now a huge fan of the white onezie rule. It was a great experience and now he gets to ride in the parade with Curtis next Saturday.
As the Third place winner he received a bronze metal, his photo in the Springville Herald and a ride on the flote next Saturday. As a participant he also gets a picture, a new t-shirt, 1 diaper, some tootsie rolls and a ribbon. No one was really handing out the participants gifts so I went around asking for them.

New Hat

I don't know why I deleted this post. It's back by popular demand -minus the text cause I don't remember what I wrote.
